1. 2nd Round 2019: Match Report

By Grave Danger, 18th May 2019

Södermalm Wrapped up its 2nd win for the season playing Årsta Swans down at the JCG last Saturday! 11/5

It was meant to be be a double header however due the national team training the other game was postponed. This however this  didn’t bother Södermalm! They went into the game at full speed Kicking 6 goals to 2 in the first Term! new recruit Sam Weyerman and Matt Gibbon Provided plenty of ball to the forward line where Mick Larsson and Nick law capitalize booting half of the goals in the first half. At half time Söder were by 7 goals!Årsta rallied hard however, they had a hard time getting past Rundle and TomMy Z in the back line. Andrew Rundles dashing speed thru the back line and clean hand balling skills provided plenty of ball to the midfielders like Gaz and and ex Årsta recruit Duncan. In the second half nothing changed Jake Grainger was solid in the back line applying some hard ice hockey hits on some Årsta players, who will no doubt be sore the following day! Veteran Grant Linke kicked home the winning goal finishing with a total of 4 goals whilst Debutant Veteran Craig Taylor playing his first game in 48 years bag a goal to boot! Södermalm running away with it in the end winning convincing 150-32   http://www.thefootyrecord.net/index.php?content1=match&m=4643&v=2&f=2
