1. Dockers host Round 6 double header

By Blue Baller, 5th August 2013

What a day for footy! A blue sky, 28 degrees, green grass and a cooling sea breaze sure showed off the best side of Norrtälje for SAFF R6, featuring The Swans vs. Blues and home team Dockers vs. the Axemen. In the first game, the Årsta Swans gave a statement that they will keep their heads high, despite suffering one hardship after the other during this season, and gave a good fight. In the Södermalm Camp, Brissles acted coach of the day, and promoted himself to playing coach in the third quarter after finding his badge on the tactics board. By then the game was all but over with 5 goals from O-train Oscar and 4 by Dylan, and 10 or so behinds from Tanka.  Södermalm was dominating the game from first ball up, and winning comfortably with 124 (18.16) against Årsta 32 (4.8).
Joel “Iron Guts” Burnell played his 50th game for Södermalm, making him the first Australian to achieve that!

In the Second game, The Dockers held back Solna for 2 quarters but ultimately fell short in the second half when the more experienced Axemen could convert Norrtäljes mistakes to simple goals. In another great game of footy, the Dockers under Ryan Tucker showed they are developing as a team and as individual players for every game. Final scores Norrtälje 60 (9.5) vs. Solna 123 (18.15).

Next round is another double header, at the JCG this Friday 9th of Aug. Södermalm vs. Solna at 18.00 followed by Årsta vs. Bromma.

Make sure to come and support your favourite team!

Looks like tanka has promoted himself direct to fullback kicking 1.10 !!!! No place in the forwards kicking like that! Better giving me a go! I don’t miss.
